IIRC this is like asparagus (am I correct?). Rick Stein mentioned it in one

of his programmes, so if you can get hold of one of his books it may have

details. If it's what I think it is - and I may have got it totally wrong -

it's grown in Norfolk (up by Sandringham), and is now fetching inflated

prices in places like London - but basically is a wild crop up by the sea

there. Prince likes it.

As I say - I might be talking about something completely different, and, if

so, just ignore my ramblings :-)

It certainly doesn't *look* like asparagus, more like a bright green

seaweed and tastes SO salty. My Filipino help (and mum's nurse) said

that I'll never get the salt out no matter now much I soak it. Maybe

I'll boil it for a short time and serve it like asparagus. It's way

too salty for my tastes to eat raw.

Don't think I'll be buying it again !
