Guest guest
Thanks for that feedback. What have been your chelating doses and schedule? Also, have you been taking mineral supplements? Dean DMSA, ALA, and gum health I've been chelating for 18 months or so. It's done me a lot of good, but I've began to notice that it's taken a toll on me in the sense that my gums have minutely but nevertheless noticeably moved back or retrenched. Cutler mentions that mercury is bad for the gums, and causes retrenchment. I would put being mercury free above everything else, but best of all would be to become mercury free without unpleasant side-effects. This has been mentioned as a side-effect here before. Does anyone know more about this, its causes, or its treatment? For right now, it's no more chelation until I recover. S.
Guest guest
Are you using flouridated toothpaste? I noticed that after amalgam removal I could no longer tolerate any flouride. When I switched to a natural non flouridated toothpaste..my gums fared better. I would also recomend an herbal all natural mouth wash. Nothing like listerine or scope or that toxic stuff. I have not heard of this an a part of chelation, but in fact when you do have amalgam in place it does cause gum disease. Healing them will take time, hopefully, you can find some natural products to help. Along with taking the supps Andy recomends to faciliate healing and support the body. > > I've been chelating for 18 months or so. > > It's done me a lot of good, but I've began to notice that it's taken a > toll on me in the sense that my gums have minutely but nevertheless > noticeably moved back or retrenched. > > Cutler mentions that mercury is bad for the gums, and causes > retrenchment. What I think it is, is a mixture of DMSA, ALA, and a temporary covering that my dentist put into my mouth to cover a tooth; it has a vile taste to it. I suspect it's a synergistic effect of all 3. S. Guest guest
I also have receding gums, and it has gotten worse post-chelation. I also have dark, almost black spots above my upper front teeth. I haven't been taking supplements for a while because of finances, maybe this is why?? Does anyone know if they will heal after chelation is complete? I used no fluoride, not even in my drinking water. I use baking soda and diluted oil of oregano to brush my teeth. No mouthwash either. I have only been chelating for about ten months/ 18 rounds. Thanks Christy > > I've been chelating for 18 months or so. > > It's done me a lot of good, but I've began to notice that it's taken a > toll on me in the sense that my gums have minutely but nevertheless > noticeably moved back or retrenched. > > Cutler mentions that mercury is bad for the gums, and causes > retrenchment.
