Guest guest
Heard the stats regarding section rates here in Oz ( on Current Affair - Sue did you see the piece?). Nearly 1-in-3 babies born now in Australia are born by C section ( that''s 30%). Debbie Slater Perth, WA

I didn't see it but I have a survey of Melbourne's hospitals which is in this month's Melbourne's Child. I can't find the article online but will happily send you a copy if you'd like it. I haven't read it properly yet so couldn't even tell you if it includes CS rates - the only questions I can recall off the top of my head were lactation consultants? partners stay over? no of births? no of beds? BTW, I am moving this week so if you'd like a copy it will be a couple of weeks before it arrives. Scratch that - a couple ofweeks before it's posted and given Australia's postal system, another couple of weeks before it arrives ;-)))) -- Sue
