Guest guest
I don't know if this will be useful to anyone with a child that hates a potty, but this is what helped DS (haven't tried with DD yet as she's only 22m). He really hated the " traditional " type potty and refused point blank to sit on it. It was almost as if he didn't want to get close to the floor. I bought a Fisher Price 2 stage potty which is higher off the floor and comes apart so that you can use the top as a toilet seat and the base as a step up later. This seemed a much more natural " toilet " height and he took to it immediately. When he rapidly progressed to using the toilet the seat was already familiar to him too. I don't know if Fisher Price still make it, but I have seen a similar type of potty in the Great Little Trading Company catalogue. Crawley Newsletter Editor, Jersey Branch.
