Guest guest
Well another night with the backache. Before I went to bed I took a Percocet and woke up 2 hours later - evidently it had done nothing for the pain in my back. I still think it is connected to my back or spine BUT I wonder since is does feel as if it is across my lower back -- could it possibly be in my kidney or ????? Pain is sort of concentrated on the right side of my spine, in the general kidney area.... But then too I would think I would have a fever of sorts and feel blech. Other than the dumb pain I feel fine. Excedrin works somewhat for the pain.... I am thinking I might go to ER after I do the scan. I dread it cause always afraid they will think of a reason to admit me, and since they are deathly afraid of anything to do with chemo -- they pop you in ambulance or helicopter and send you to BAMC ( Army Med. Command) in San . That I surely don't want. I surely don't want to go in hospital anywhere... But if this pain doesn't go away and doesn't seem to want to I have to address it and deal with it. If it has bothered me on Tuesday when I saw an ONC and my primary would have said something but didn't start hurting until Wednesday a.m. If anyone has any advice I sure would appreciate it... Guest guest
OH Jolene, I feel so bad that you are having such back pains. I hope you can find the cause. The not knowing sure can put a lot of worry on you. Hopefully it is a pinched nerve or something like that. I too noticed in the hospital they all are worried because I had chemo. They did not even want to use my port because they said it was used for chemo. Had to use it finally after they blew all the veins in my arms with the IV's. Had sodium and potasium. They are hard on the veins and they had to constantly find a new IV spot. Thankfully the doctor said it was alright to do my port. My arms are black and blue and sore. Am Praying hard for you!!!
