Guest guest
Hi guys Thank you for all the info passed on about the fistula and messages of support. Amy has been asking for our family to start being physically closer to the hospital so I have a feeling this horrible journey is slowly coming to a near end. The fistula is causing acutal stool to leak from the incision sight. She has a stoma bag pressed on the incision so they can control the leakage from going on her skin and clothes. My sister is such a fighter, I asked " how are you doing? " , thinking maybe she wanted to talk a bit, she replied " I am focusing on getting better " . What a trooper! Just to remind some of you who don't know. My sister is 29 and was diagnosed a little over a year ago by a couple weeks. She has a 2 year old little girl and has tried to fight this horrible beast as hard as she can for Paige (her daughter). Unfortunatly cancer is winning and it has taken over her body completely. I will keep you all posted. She is very comfortable and pain free yet my heart is aching for her. How can this be happening? I feel the support from this group. sincerely, peta
