Guest guest
Do any of you have a favourite site to book plane tickets on line? I used one last year that I wasn't particularly thrilled with, but can't now even remember which one it was. Thanks, Phyllis ----- expedia.co.uk we used them to book our flights to San Francisco and saved lots we had been quoted around 2500.00 for our tickets but in the end got them down to 1300.00 because we went from Gatwick - Philli - San Francisco. A direct flight would of been 2500.00. We went via US Airways very impressed with service even though we got delayed on the way home. [sue] The good thing about expedia is you can play with the flights and whether you do direct/indirect/cheapest/fastest etc. And if you put LON in the departure point it will quote all London airport departures rather than just LHR or LGW. If you really aren't bothered about direct flights and are prepared to divert via Germany (furt) it can be worth trying www.flights.com. To get the best prices you have to use the German version of the site and use furt as your departure point. You will then need to book flights to furt separately from the UK. Depending on which class you wish to travel in, this might be cheaper than going direct from LHR but will almost certainly take longer. Sometimes travelling business class will work out cheaper than a direct flight from London. **Sometimes**!! Haven't tried the www.flights.com method but it has come recommended by regular flyers on one of the UK travel newsgroups. -- Sue
