Guest guest
I only have 2 chemo treatments left. Unfortunately, today's had to be cancelled because of a low white count. We have it rescheduled for next week. The good news is that my hemoglobin that had suddenly started dropping started rising again. We were concerned that this meant the tumor in my duodenum was bleeding again but the dr. feels confident the drop was from the chemo. But we are still watching it closely. I have another CT scan scheduled at the end of treatment. Then I will schedule an endoscopy to look at the duodenum. My hope is that if my liver is clear of mets then I can have surgery to remove the duodenum. I was very surprised to see the posts about the chemo smell. I thought it was just me. My daughter said I smell like an old lady, I thought I smelled musty. Not much can make that smell go away. Sometimes it is overpowering. I was wondering if anyone else on the list has two different types of cancer you are trying to treat? Are you having any success? I am fighting colon and duodenal cancer. I have had success with the liver mets so far. Thanks for this list. Jane
