Guest guest
Ive searched for but cannot find anything which gives the usual testing frequency of CEA levels which is the colon cancer tumor marker found in the blood. I think I have hit the angry stage because I cant help wondering that if this test had been performed before every chemo session the rise in Mikes CEA levels would have been noticed earlier. Its as if he suffered the last 6 and all those side effects for nothing. Mikes CEA was 190 before session 1, 50 after session 6 and 243 after session 12 so you can understand why I am angry and uncertain. Mike is starting Oxaliplatin and Erbitux on Monday and I want to find some reference to take to Mikes Onc which might indicate more frequent testing. On the other hand maybe its the norm but need to know. in Spain
