Guest guest
HI , I am new to the group !! I have been sick for 4 years and doctors cant seem to find it, so I took my health into my own hands and seeked out a doctor which found that my adrenals and thyroid were not working . I suffered everything from lupus to pancreatis swelling to food allergies . I had my fillings removed by a natural dentist and rubber dam this time when I went to a regular dentist I became very sick for 6 months. I ordered the andy cutler book and its very confusing, probably due to my brain fog that I have at this point. I am on Round 2 and I find this very difficult because it stirs up my candida which i take caprylic acid alot. But what helps in keeping the acid down? I have been using baking soda but how long can I use this ? I have been eating a candida diet for 3 years and organic too. I am getting bad headaches on round 2.........I hope this gets easier. I noticed I cant handle garlic since it increases my brain fog. Thanks for the Advice

As time goes on you will find it useful as a reference book. When you are thinking about what to do for thyroid and adrenals, read those sections and mark them. When you are deciding what supplements to take, read those sections and mark them, and so on. The first time I read the book I could tell that it was good, but absolutely nothing stuck in my brain. > I am on Round 2 What doses of which chelators are you taking, how many hours between doses, are you doing 3 days on, 4 off, including at night? and I find this very difficult because it stirs up > my candida which i take caprylic acid alot. That would help to neutralize acid and it also helps with brain fog. > I have been using baking soda but how long > can I use this ? It is a balancing act. With adrenal problems and candida you likely need extra stomach acid - betaine HCl and pepsin with meals. Then, if you need baking soda (or alka selzer gold) you can take that between meals. > I have been eating a candida diet for 3 years and organic too. > There are about as many variations on a candida diet as there are people who talk about it. Give us a brief description of what the diet is like that you are on. We might be able to spot things that might help. In general, to control opportunists including Canadida, the strategy is to make sure that food is rapidly digested and readily absorbed so that there isn't any left hanging around to feed the Candida. Extra stomach acid, pepsin and animal derived digestive enzymes help to break the food down. Eliminating sugars and starches helps to ensure that these aren't around for the Candida or others to thrive on, and sort of starves them out. Another hugely important aspect, that Andy doesn't say much about in his book, is to continually provide beneficial organisms - probiotics - and in huge quantities to compete with the opportunists and force them out. Andy recommends finding sources of probiotics with large numbers of organisms and taking way more than what is recommended on the bottle. Other members may be able to tell you which probiotics they use and in what quantity. One of the things that I use to supply probiotics without too much expense is specific carbohydrate diet yogurt made of goat's milk. It can also be made of coconut milk or almond milk for someone who can't tolerate goat milk. I can't tolerate cow milk, but seem to be ok with the goat yogurt. http://www.breakingtheviciouscycle.info/beginners_guide/yoghurt/yoghurt.htm You may find the SCD beginner diet helpful to get things under control: http://www.breakingtheviciouscycle.info/beginners_guide/beginners.htm And I found reading the book helped me to understand http://www.breakingtheviciouscycle.info/beginners_guide/book.htm > I am getting bad headaches on round 2......... Headaches can be from insufficient magnesium and vitamin C (at least insufficient for chelating because they get used up). Listing the supplements that you are taking might help (so that we can suggest adding some, boosting up doses of some). The other thing that might help is to lower the chelator dose. I hope this gets > easier. Yes, it does. > I noticed I cant handle garlic since it increases my brain fog. > You may want to eliminate sulfur foods and see how much this helps. Guest guest
as suggests eliminating sulphur foods and treatng my mult chem sensitivites brought me back from the brink many months ago, when I first got the AI book. Garlic is sulphur...It alleviated my anxiety and head fog quite a bit Also for adrenals A) HC - 20 mgs a day. Rx. C) pregnenolone- OTC 50 mgs 3 times a day D) Adrenal cortex-by Thorne 50 mgs 3 times a day> OTC E)Siberian ginseng or eluethero -100 mgs I believe it is a day 9 in am and early pm Good luck > > HI , > I am new to the group !! Guest guest
, can you please tell me what you specifically did to treat your MCS? I've read a few suggestions in the books that I'd not heard before (and I'm on an MCS list). Thanks! : Donna >> wrote: >>eliminating sulphur foods and treatng my mult chem sensitivites >>brought me back from the brink many months ago, when I first got the >>AI book.
