We don't have a written list of rules for this list as such, but many

Usenet lists do have a FAQ. It may be a good idea for us to put one

together which we can send to newbies automatically when they sign up. We

tend to post reminders about specific rules from time to time, but not on

any formal basis. The main 'rules' are to keep the subject heading

consistent with our message, and to chop off any irrelevent text from the

the post you are replying to, and to be careful about posting personal

details. Beyond that, we follow 'The Golden Rule' - do unto others as you

would have them do to you.

If anyone has any ideas for specific written rules that we can send out to

newbies (and post as occasional reminders to oldies), then please let us

know. This should be a group effort and not just from the moderators. And

talking about moderators, if anyone has any suggestions about the role and

duties of a moderator, please also let's discuss.
