Guest guest
Hi, just started weaning my DS on homemade baby rice, but a bit worried about the consistency of it. I have decided to make all his early food because a. I am really bored and b. I am a strict vegetarian and dont like the list of additives in the baby jars. My receipe book said to use short grain rice...well you cant buy that in a supermarket, so I bought pudding rice...which I assume IS short grain...am I right? Secondly, how runny do you make it at first. I liquidised it with breast milk, and it was a sort of runny soupy consistency. It ran off the spoon. Should it be thicker? First time round he threw it all up everywhere, but today he ate a spoonful and was ok except terrible wind...which meant he grizzled all afternoon. Thanks for your help.
