I really am anxious to get him home. From all reports he is a sweetheart. One funny thing they've told us....if he is not getting all the attention that he wants, he turns so that you can see his scars and whimpers, knowing you will shower him with petting and hugs. That's a pretty smart dog if you ask me. LOL

Ahhhhh, Jed looks like a sweet dog alright. The tension in his little body just makes you want to pick him up and love him.

An impending arrival

Just wanted to announce the impending arrival of our new dog! Jed is going to come to us from a rescue group a couple of hours west of here. He's a miniature pinscher, who is apparently very sweet natured, gets along well with children and other dogs. He's a bit of a senior citizen at 9 but apparently still very lively.

He lived most of his life chained outdoors with little human interaction. He was attacked by a larger dog in December and his pelvis was broken. He and another dog were removed from the home when the owner went to live in a nursing home. He has since had surgery and has healed beautifully..

I'm very excited to get him home. He'll be arriving as soon as I get home from NY. I'm leaving tomorrow or Thursday morning to go to my sisters for a couple of days.

I posted a couple of pics of Jed. He's a cutie!
