Guest guest
I picked the boys up from school (first mistake I should have left them there!) DS3 found the water fountain in the entrance, and how to use it. He managed to get water all over his T-shirt and hair. But never mind he will dry off. Then he fell and grazed his knees. DS1&2 fighting in the car and when we got back, mum arrived in the middle of this fighting. Tea went fairly quietly thanks to the TV DS3 put to bed at 4.45pm (as usual for a Monday) so mum can baby sit and I can go to my slimming class. Dropped DS1 off at a friends so she can take him to Beavers with her son. So far so good, apart from the fact that I knew that DS3 was not asleep. Came home at 6.45pm in a good mood having lost 3lb. DH had been on the phone - stuck in a meeting would ring as he left. DS3 still not asleep but popped into bed when I shouted. Went to pick up DS1 from Beavers - Beavers finished 15 minutes late. Went back to the scout hut as DS1 had left his waterproof. Came back still no DH. Needed to take mum home but DS2 & 3 in bed. No neighbours about to sit with the boys whilst I run her back. DS3 starts crying-went up-he was covered in nappy cream, hair, face, pyjamas the lot. He had managed to open the child lock on his cupboard and spread the cream. In a way I was relieved as I actually thought that he had been sick. Cleaned him up and rang a taxi for mum. Phone rang - securities guards from work after DH - told them he was still there! Sent DS1 to bed at 8.15pm - he managed to wake up DS2 just as I took my first mouthful of food. Went up, shouted settled them down. Came back down started food again, more tears from DS2 - went back up again shouted again and came back down and managed my food finally in peace. DH still not rung to say he is on his way home, had enough now - going to read my emails and go to bed. If I wrote a play with tonight in it-it would be dismissed as too unrealistic. Thinking of starting a family? Forget it - get a goldfish instead! Trisha SAHM to 3 boys Jack 7, 6 and Isaac
