Every time I sit in front of my computer, I feel something is happening inside my body. I feel my intestines pushing the food down, my whole body begins to feel tense. I even feel my body getting acidic. I was thinking, could the radiation from the computer somehow work negatively in my body because of heavy metal toxicity? ----------Ali, I don't have this problem personally, but it has been discussed before on these boards and does affect some people, so if you search archives using onibasu, you will probably come up with lots of posts on this. I would also look in the adult metal and Autism-Mercury groups too. You can also use " EMF " as part of your search keywords, because that's how I remember them discussing it, as EMF sensitivity.----------Jackie I have done 8 rounds ALA. I am now doing my second round of DMSA(12.5mgs) every 3 hours. I wish I could do DMPS because of its long half life, but I live in the Netherlands and can't get it. ----------Yes, the longer half life is nice, but when you add the ALA, you have to do every 3 hours anyway, so then it doesn't matter anymore. Also, not sure about in Europe, but the price of DMPS has more than tripled in the US recently, so it's much cheaper to use DMSA and ALA!--------Jackie When I used ALA, I would get slight GI problems. Now that I am using DMSA only, I don't have this problem. Also I am high in copper(adrenal fatigue), there- fore ALA is a bit problematic. ----------I believe Andy is less concerned about this now, after having more feedback and experience with people. Check onibasu/wiki, there should be info on this.--------Jackie I will continue doing DMSA for another 5-10 rounds. ---------Sounds good. I guess I would suggest trying DMSA and ALA together at some point. The DMSA might help with the ALA side effects. Otherwise, glad to hear that the DMSA is working.---------Jackie Good luck to everyone. Greetings, Ali
Guest guest
Hi Ali- Two possibilities I can come up with: 1) Is your computer screen a CRT (like a TV) or a flat panel (like a laptop or newer computer)? CRT's do have electromagnetic radiation, which I have heard of others being sensitive to. Flat panel (LCD) screens are much less harmful and unlikely to cause EM field or radiation issues. If you have a flat panel screen, its more likely your issues are cause by number 2 below. If you have a CRT, try using a flat panel and see if that helps you. 2) How is your posture? Do you tense up when you are sitting at a desk with a computer? How about your eyes, are you straining them more with the computer. Both of these can cause your whole body to tense up and tighten digestion organs. As you strain you eyes, you are straining and tightening your brains at the same time, which can tighten your whole body. Maybe others have more ideas too. If you really want DMPS, why not travel to Germany for it? Guest guest
Regarding EMF from LCD monitors. Not so much an issue as say the old CRT TV's and monitors. However, most LCD's are backlit with tiny fluorescent bulbs, which do contain mercury. Whether they emit HG vapour and if so how much I could not tell you. When I was much sicker 2-3 years ago being in a large warehouse store or supermarket full of fluorescent lighting was very difficult for me. I doubt I will ever understand why but I believe it is related to Amalgam Illness.
