Guest guest
I have developed leaky gut I believe from mercury (with adrenal fatigue and 's) and now react to a large number of foods. That list now includes DMSA (fever chills rash). I am on no thrroid meds but am taking cortef 15 mg/daily. Has anyone overcome this problem? I would like to continue regular rounds using both ALA and DMSA but the reactions are too strong.

Hi, For leaky gut optimize bowel bacteria with probiotics - e.g Ultra Flora Plus DF capsules by Metagenics. I would be best if you had a stool test done first to analyze your bowel ecology. Where can you get stool test in the USA? Then if you pick up on yeast, you need to kill that with stuff like oregano oil or GSE. Candida hurts the gut lining. To heal the gut lining use glutamine. Metagenics have another excellent product called Glutagenics (well tolerated). They also have a gut lining support called UltraClear sustain that can be used simultaneously (well tolerated, but I know of one sulfur sensitive person that did not do well on it). They should be used for several months. Consider an IgG food allergy test to ascertain which foods may be hurting you. DeanSA
