Strange Sensations after amalgam removal

I had my last amalgam removal about a month ago. Right afterwards I

felt tingling on the back of the left side of my head. When driving, I

feel myself staring quiet often. Weird. Has anyone had similar symptons

after removal? I went to a dentist who took all the precautions-dam,

oxygen, etc. He just said I had decay under the filling and he left a

little of the decay (but removed all of the filling) because he felt

this would be better than doing a root canal. Any thoughts?

If he left decay it will get worse.
