Guest guest
How about nappy changing routine? IE: how you clean their bum; what products (if any) do you smear all over for 'protection'. I'm only a beginner in my nappy changing career (almost 16 months) and I was wondering.... what do other parents use at nappy change - wipes/plain water/vaseline/baby lotion/soap and water............? Janet ------- Well as DH & I are Registered Childminders we have to be careful about what we do and don't use, theoretically if we used wetwipes with some sort of lotion on them, or then applied some sort of nappy cream we are required to get the parent to sign each time with their consent!!!! So what we have done is purchase 20 white flannels, at each nappy change we just rinse one out in warm water and use it. If the parent wishes us to then apply some sort of cream then they must supply it with a letter stating so. Non of our parents currently ask us to apply anything, in fact it's probably about three years since we were asked to use anything and that was only for a few weeks because the toddler had been badly sunburnt on a family holiday!!
