Guest guest Posted March 6, 2008 Report Share Posted March 6, 2008 Please anyone who lives in the state of Washington or has connections there, have people contact their state senator and ask them to support Senator Oemig's amendment below: http://dlr.leg.wa.gov/billsummary/default.aspx?year=2007&bill=2647 6 " (3) Beginning July 1, 2009, no one may knowingly administer 7 vaccines containing added mercury into children under the age of 8 eighteen or pregnant women unless notice is provided to parents or 9 guardians of the child or pregnant woman receiving the vaccine, that 10 the vaccine contains mercury. Further, if a United States food and 11 drug administration approved alternative vaccine without added mercury 12 is available, the disclosure to the parents or guardians of the child 13 or pregnant woman receiving a vaccine containing mercury must be 14 informed that a mercury-free option is available. " EFFECT: Requires notification prior to the administration of vaccines with added mercury in children under the age of 18 or pregnant women.
