Guest guest
Hello, I am into my 14th day on Methimazole and my seventh day away from work. There has been some unusual things happening to cause stress at home, which I do not usually have, but it is nice to just have to deal with the home problems and not work AND home problems. I cannot locate the postings about the ideal way to take Methimazole. I have been separating the taking of my flaxseed oil capsules by an hour, but I don't remember if I am supposed to eat after I take them or wait before eating, or if there were any other things to do or not to do. I take 15 mg in the morning at 5 a.m. and 15 mg at 5 p.m. I have been eating right after I take them. I have had a few passing episodes of nausea and some pounding headaches when I am asleep (which wake me up). Other than that, no bad side effects. I still take 120 mg of Inderal as my heart rate is still elevated. I haven't had to take the 180 mg, though, that I had to do occasionally before I started on the ATD. Happy Holidays to all. 54 years old, diagnosed 8-20-02. Took a natural remedy for 3 months, then had to start on Methimazole due to severely high lab results.
