Guest guest
MB Don't be doing that...lol It's so easy I've found to be sitting and get up and forget until you get the ugly reminder and suddenly realize. I also find myself doing the opposite version. I sure do wish they would make the concentrators and reservoirs remote control adjustable. Reality says that truly wouldn't be very difficult if someone would just do it. Enjoy your time with your son and his girlfriend. > > Hi everyone, > Just wanted to share my dopieness this evening. My son and his girlfriend are coming down here to Durham tomorrow from Boone for Easter. I'm really looking forward to seeing him and meeting her. So in preparation I went to put clean sheets on the daybed and also on the air mattress. Here's where the dumbness comes in. I left my concentrator set at just under 3 liters as I had been sitting and relaxing before I started this. After a few minutes I started feeling very light headed and began to cough and cough and cough and cough. I grabbed my oximeter and lo and behold my O2 sat was 59. Ooooops Fortunately once I sat down and stayed still and breathed, in through the nose, out through the mouth, my sats were in the 80's in less than a minute and back to 97 or so in less than 2. > One would think after nearly 3 years I wouldn't make this kind of mistake any more. But I guess there's no statute of limitations on stupid. I can just picture Peggy shaking her head and saying, " Ya can't fix stupid " . > So I guess the point is be careful everyone. Guest guest
Bruce, A remote would be great but would really only work if I were in the same room as the concentrator. That's rarely the case. They make remotes for everything from televisions to ceiling fans, it has to be possible to make one for a concentrator....but they also have to make one that works around corners and through doors....what do you think? Guest guest
MB Wireless remote much like a wireless network connection maybe. I just think it should be possible. It's always a problem too getting to and from bed as most need a different level for the walk than they do for the sleep. I spenda lot of time changing oxygen levels and I forget some with the portable as well, getting in and out of the car, up and down from the table in the restaurant, etc. Then I find myself doing as you did plus turning it way up until I get my sats back. > > > > Hi everyone, > > Just wanted to share my dopieness this evening. Guest guest
Exactly. I have been saying that they need a remote also. Who do we talk to about making that happen ?
