It took a lot of discussion because it had to be female staff as well and the balcony had to be closed to spectators too. But one of the women who was over 50 went swimming for the first time in her life which was amazing but even better was the fact that the staff got into it and taught many of the women to swim. I think 8 out of 10 got their 25 metre badges and the other 2 their 10m So I think you're never too old :-)) Donna Mum to (17) Kimberley(16), Kayleigh(14), (11), Kara (4) [homebirth at last]

She teaches one evening in the local public school at their private pool, so it is almost guaranteed that you will not have an audience. There are also adverts for weekly swimming holidays where they almost guarantee that you learn to swim during that week. (Bit like learn to drive a car holidays).
