Guest guest
Well, we put the lack of interest for the puddings night down to the fact it was the night of the Big Brother final. No such excuse tonight tho' (or am I missing something really fab on the box tonight?) but generally, yes, I think you do have a valid point. Also I expect after a hectic day with the kids, slobbing out in front of the TV incurs little effort and is very appealing, whereas getting dressed up a little and actually conversing with other people is more of an effort, so less appealing. Guest guest
<<>> Hm lol I have never stayed at home because there was something on the box I would rather watch than visiting friends.. But then I have a video so if there is something of interest on I will just video it... But then I am not one of the people who believe TV is all bad ;o)... Lonnie Phoebe & Eloisa's mama & expecting a Christmas delivery... My therapist told me the way to achieve true inner peace is to finish what you start. So far today, I have finished 2 bags of chips and a Chocolate cake. I feel better already.

Guest guest
We had a New Year party - for adults and children. Invited about 50 > people, asked for RSVP, many people did not, some 'phoned up on the > afternoon saying they were going to come but they had food > poisoning/flu/no babysitter etc etc I don't get the impression that RSVP means much any more. It is mostly ignored in my experience. Personally I try really hard to go to things I am invited to and always reply with as much notice as possible if I can't go. But we have had parties here and unless you ring round to find out you just don't know who is coming. We are having a class barbecue for dd1 and dd2 - consecutive nights (we must be mad!) - in a fortnights time. The girls handed out invites at the end of term. Have we heard from a single child - NO! ah well... Sue

I can honestly say that I have never had a thank you letter from DH's neice and nephew who will be 18 and 14 this year. I do make the effort to help the boys do theirs but I really get p***ed off with the lack of them back. Trisha who honestly is not on coffee at the moment but can't help checking the web site!
