Guest guest
Dh's job's Often call him on day's off or even when we are on holiday.. drives me nutty.. I do however think that I have quite a reputation at his work as now (1.5 year into home working there) they never ring up without introducing themselves saying what they want and apologizing for disturbing.. this came across when he was away at (what I like to call his yearly pilgrimage to HIS holyland aka La Mont 24 hour racing).. and they rang about a meeting they wanted to do on the Monday where he was off.. They rang 3 times and the 3rd time I gave the person on the phone a right old bullocking.. Informed them I was his WIFE NOT his secretary that I was NOT paid by them and therefore did not have to supply them with any information what so ever.. and that if they EVER would ring again they would introduce themselves apologize and make themselves brief IF they did get passed on to dh.. So far they all have and they all know to do this if they ring home to us.. Funny thing is that when Dh's boss heard about this he said To right you are disturbing them at their home and that does involve a lot of politeness and smoothness.. so at least I know should the boss ever ring (he does occasionally) then he is polite and nice ;o) Lonnie Phoebe & Eloisa's mama & expecting a Christmas delivery... My therapist told me the way to achieve true inner peace is to finish what you start. So far today, I have finished 2 bags of chips and a Chocolate cake. I feel better already. I used to stand in the back ground shouting " Teas Ready " to encourage DH to hang up. I then moved on to answering the phone saying " he's just bathing/feeding/changing the boys or I am not sure he is in " We then moved on to monitoring all phone calls on SUnday afternoons. He even managed to ring our house when I was in labour with DS2 - mum explained that I was in labour - his response " How long does it take to have a baby? " Mum let him know that it took as long as it took! Fortunately he took early retirement a few months back so we now have Sunday afternoons back to normal after nearly 7 years of him. The only other calls we get are the Security Guards ringing if there is a problem at site. But DH has managed to get his name futher down the list so it is not such a problem.
