HI GANG,

Per conversation on the chat, here is the info on the trial drug.

ARTEMIS: a phase 3, randomized, double-blind, placebo controlled, multi-center, parallel group, event driven study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of Ambrisentan in subjects with early Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF). The company sponsoring is Gilead Sciences Inc.

They are located in Seattle, Washington

Protocol no: GS-US-231-0101

WRIB Protocol #20081290

W00000067

The study is 1-3 years.

I was informed the study will begin in the next 4-6 weeks. I will receive a call next week to fill me in on schedule. As I learn more I will keep ya'll informed.

I enjoyed chat tonight. It is nice to hear voices of fellow comrades with this stupid disease.

Hope all is well,

Joe

-- I missed the Chat

I am sorry that I missed the Chat tonight. I wish I could have heard all of your voices. Hope everyone is doing well. I started back to my exercise class yesterday after a month of bronchitis and 20 days of Avelox + one steroid shot.

Today I was on the Nustep for 30 minutes, arm bicycle for ten minutes and treadmill for 10 minutes = 50 minutes. Yesterday I was on the bicycle for 20 minutes, treadmill for 10 minutes, Nustep for 10 minutes and arm bicycle for 10 minutes = 50 minutes. I feel better today.

Toodles!

Jane, It sounds as if we've had a

similarly miserable month!!!I've also gone through

3 different antibiotics and a huge raise of my prednisone

( from 10 to 60 and now starting to go back slowly to my normal 10)to

fight off bronchitis!

In addition to that lovely 3 days in the "big house" two weeks ago.

I'm hoping to get back to my exercise stuff by the week-end...light

weights and the treadmil

I hope you're feeling better and that you have a great week-end

It was good to chat tonight.

Thanks Joe and Joanie for the study info.

Lou...We all love you today

and every day...sweet dreams!

Z. Sorry to hear about your visit to the "big house" and 3 antibiotics? Wow! I am still coughing up stuff and doing some neubulizing. I am trying to avoid that old booger called pneumonia. I am hoping that the exercise will help me to feel better. Take care of you, Z.

Toodles!
