Guest guest
Oh Hil, that is, of course, not the news you wanted to hear and I'm so sorry you are going to be put through more. I hope you were able to get some rest last night but I bet your mind was working overtime. Yes, ask alot of questions when you talk to them. At this point in time, they are just *guessing* it is cancer, right? There is no way they can possibly know until they get to it, is there? Ok, so I know what I'm going to be praying for:) Sending you lots of prayers, nancy j My oncologist Appt Well at least for once I had my notes with me to ask but you know when they come out with things you don't expect you forget to ask a lot. Anyway the news was not good and he is sure the cancer has returned but thankfully just in the colon and not spread. I was positive we would just do a biopsy and get the same report as last time. My CEA is going up also and is now 12.5. I really do like this Dr and especially the fact he always wants to be sure of things so was going to get biopsy done. He called me at 6:30 tonight to tell me Radiologist said it was to close to the bone to biopsy and he had also talked to a group of surgeons to get their opinion on the next step. I have mentioned I have a striture and they can't do a colonoscopy. Since he woke me from a sound sleep I forgot to ask any questions except there is a specialist there and he is going from the inside of my colon and open the striture. He feels this will also help my bathroom problem then guess they will see colon or be able to do colonosopy except this mass is right on outside of colon so don't understand it all. When they call tomorrow with appt date I will ask questions and hope to get answers. I have no idea how they plan to do this or what it involves. I know he wants it down ASAP as he is going on vacation. My daughters are very upset but of course don't want me to know it and I am a wreck and don't want them to know it. Guest guest
HIL, I understand your feelings way to well. But perhaps they can remove it with surgery. You will just have to see what the surgeons say. This is not good news for you. I know my reoccurance is not good news for me either. But they were able to remove mine. You will have to see what they say. I am Praying so hard for you!!!!
