DH's nephew was discovered (aged 6) at the front door of his

house at 3am - the alarm had gone off so he froze by the door

not knowing what to do. He was dressed, hat and coat on with a

suitcase and a note in his pocket that read:

1. Get daddy's money

2.Get daddy's passport

3.Go to airport

4. Go to Disneyland

Bless!!

He is a life long tyke - at 2 he locked his mum in a downstairs

cupboard and proceeded to empty the kitchen cupboards whilst

his mum managed to raise the alarm with a passer by (she had

to shout her Dh's office number so that he could get home and

free her!)

Also after my MIL had read a story about Fireman Sam to him

when he was 4 he then woke up in the night and rang 999 and

asked for the fire brigade - who turned up on the doorstep!

He is now 14 - and at Westminster School as a weekly boarder,

to give his poor parents a break!!!

MY MIL recently told us stories about DH`s dad`s family - many of them

were sent away from home at that age.

I think it was perfectly normal to leave home at that age then, which

was why it was even more embarrassing to be hauled off home by your

mum! He'd forged her signature on the admission forms, naughty boy.

He joined the army eventually and went off to India, which is where

FIL was born.
