Guest guest
Hi, I had a colonoscopy this a.m. I am age 61 and my father had colon cancer and had to have a colostomy. On my Discharge Instructions the following was written: 1. Biopsy and lab will be mailed or called to you within ten days of the procedure along with our recomendation for follow-up. If you have not received results after 10 days, please call your doctor's office. 2. Polyp(s) removed today appear benign (adenomatous or hyperplastic) 3. You will be notified only if the recommendations below should change. 4. Call office for test results. THIS IS ONE MARKED My recommended followup was to repeat colonoscopy in 3-5 years. Should I be worried. I know this is silly but I saw my Dad with his colostomy in his later years and it was difficult for him.
