Well the two kittens we were fostering have gone back to the Cat Sanctuary. Not

in there a week and the impossible has happened, they have been rehomed. This

was partly to do with the fact that having been hand reared and kept with

children, they are the most lovable pair of young cats in the Sanctuary.

A week ago, I took on two more kittens - tiny scraps in a terrible state, one 4

weeks, eyes just turned from blue, and the other much older but looked dreadful,

so hard to tell what age. We lost the older one that night - his system just

gave up on him I think. The other one was at the vets today and got a clean

bill of health - and is gaining weight and eating kitten food as well as kitten

milk. She is lovely but still a scrap.

Was at the Sanctuary today picking up the kitten after her visit to the vets and

the owner brought in yet another one. This one was found at a hotel sitting by

a dead kitten. The owners of the hotel took the kitten round all the other

nursing cats without success, the other cats wouldn't claim him/her. They think

the mother may have either been run over or had lost contact with the kittens

for too long. So she was brought in. Being particularly healthy they didn't

want her to go into the Cat Sanctuary where D&V is rife at the moment, and so

she is home with me keeping the other one company. Emma has named them Kitty

and Squeek. Hopefully if they are rehomed eventually, they will also be given

new names!
