Hi Micheal's,

Actually it is fine to have IV vitamin C with each removal and before if you

like. It is very safe.

There is no problem as long as they don't add glutathione, or other things

to it.

They can buffer it to a pH of 7.2 so it does not sting, but they should know

that.

However, you must NOT take ORAL vitamin C 24 hours before a dental

appointment. That will interfere with the anesthetic.

The reason why the IV Vit C does not interfere and the ORAL Vit C does is

unclear.

This is totally anecdotal, I believe, another " anecdote reported as

fact " perpetrated by Huggins.

I for one would not want to be the first to report an adverse effect

from IV vitamin C before anesthetic to this list.

Hi,

My understanding is that Vit C helps " Thin " the blood so you wouldn't

use it before removal in case something goes wrong and there is

bleeding.. I know it's a no-no prior to surgery of other kinds for

this reason.

I had my vitamin C IVs during removal.

Andy certainly recommends vit C IVs after.

I don't think there is any harm to having them before, but they are

too expensive to have all the time.

With or after each one.

I don't think it would hurt. Check the archives because this has been

discussed many times previously (use www.onibasu.com to search autism

mercury).

Many will say not to have oral vit C before removal. I did every time

because I couldn't remember not to. I had to have extra anaesthetic

every time but in general I have to have extra even when I remember to

forget the vit C.
