Not sure of the timing of things, but is it possible that some of your symptoms

may be from the parasite cleanse? And I'm not sure if you have to wait to use

ALA in this case or not. Hopefully someone like TK will answer that. Good

luck.------Jackie

Hi everybody, I haven't posted here in a LONG time. But always

interested in other people's opinions and this is one of those times I

would appreciate that.

I have recently been in to have my white composites replaced with cerec

porcelain. Anytime in the past I went into a dental office, I'd come

out worse off. Either immediate effects, or delayed from I

guess " mercury vapor exposure " from the office itself.

This time around I thought I had gotten off scott free. I noticed

something when I first went in, but came out and seemed ok....however

this has not turned out to be the case. Delayed symptoms started

rather oddly with a feeling of tightness in the chest with severe

asthma attacks (haven't had asthma in YEARS). Any exercise will set

this off if I go over the limit even remotely. With this has been

itching in the face, cramping worse in the lower gut area, feeling

exhausted, unable to improve my yeast problems, worse

depression/anxiety etc...

I have not had amalgams for 11 years now, so this is not related to

that, but rather I guess the dental office itself. This was a general

mainstream dentist. I went to him becuase he's well experienced in

replacing this particular material (cerec) and was a little cheaper

than the others....however, I feel as though I have been hit with a

sledgehammer just by walking into his office.... this has prevented me

from having routine dental cleans and probably contributed to my

deteriorating gums. Though I am very thorough with my home cleaning

and flossing.

I am really financially tight right now paying off the dental work

itself, so DMSA is probably not on my radar at the moment. WOuld alpha

lipoic acid help me? If this really is mercury vapor? I'm just

stunned at how strict I am on my diet with no real alleviation of

symptoms and this bizzare itching in my face and around my nose etc is

really irritating. And the yeast issues are REALLY getting me down as

well as the other odd symptoms. i am at the moment doing a parasite

cleanse as well, but I do feel that I need a little more than this

because something seems to be allowing these things to flourish.

I also have immune problems from a viral infection I got years ago,

never recovering from, plus possible cavitations. Testing showing

contradictory results and nothing I can really pinpoint. But am

wondering if ALA is an ok bet for me at this time?

Thanks.

Hi,

No, I have only just started a parasite cleanse. My symptoms

following the visit to the dentist have been going on for over a

month now. This seems to be the story of my life in regards to going

to the dentist. Getting sick immediately after, or sometime

thereafter.

I do not feel acutely poisoned, I am just worse off than I was and in

a chronic kind of state. I was bad enough before, so I guess that I

am vulnerable to this kind of thing.

Thanks for your response.

I don't konw, Rrebecca......

I have not had any amalgams for about 17 years, but when I recenlty

tried to take just ALA with no DMSA (10mg dose) and then had to stop

the next day becasue I woke up too late, I got real sick.

Still.....about 6 years ago before I knew about the Cutler protocol,

I used to take ALA from time to time and have no adverse

symptoms.....at least none that I knew to link to the ALA.

I have to wonder if my recent bad experience with ALA alone was

because of yeast overgrowth. ....dunno.

I do know that when I was able to afford some of Solomon Wickey's

CanSol to fight yeast, I felt better.

Hi Ingrid,

Thanks for the response...it's something I think I'll have to try for

myself. I guess this could be clacified as a recent exposure...which

would indicate the need to try DMSA first, rather than ALA? Cheaper

to get ALA yes, but not worth it if I'm being too hasty at this

point...

So what I may do is (when I can), get a small lot of DMSA capsules

and simply do a couple of rounds (3-4 days or so on) and see what

happens. I know it's helped me once before after a dental visit, but

I KNEW it would, the mercury felt as though it was right there for

the grabbing. This time it feels deep, different, a deadness

almost. I don't feel the same certainty that DMSA will help me this

time. But worth a go.

I am treating yeast issues to no avail. I'm also doing a parasite

cleanse and so far...to no avail. Nothing is helping anymore. This

is why I suspect an extra top up of toxic exposure maybe the

culprit. I know yeast is very much part of the toxic syndrome, but I

think one can either focus on yeast and forget the other, or focus on

removing mercury and forget about yeast (which in my experience is

another very unwise move). I'll try and do both.

I also have excessive thirst, grumbling gut and just feel absolutely

horrible. Drug like stupor condition. Funnily enough, this time

after the visit it was a delayed response. Things have actually

gotten worse, rather than better.

Hi Joanne,

Thanks for this response, makes me feel a bit more reassured. You

start questioning other things, but it keeps going back to that visit

and I am wondering how significant the exposure would be and long

term? for someone that cannot excrete mercury (like myself) and it

seems you have the same issue here. I think I was basically exposed

to other people's mercury vapor (drilling and/or removals). Even

though I don't have amalgams, just getting my plastics replaced with

porcelain.

I checked out a list re acute exposure to mercury vapor inhalation

and sure enough, I got them. Even the tightness in the chest,

excessive thirst, exhaustion (I feel like I " m in a drug induced

stupor). Yet this article says it should go within 24/36 hours.

Wow, I wish! It's been 2 months now.

Here are the symptoms from exposure to vapor and I believe it IS

acute in a dental office leading to chronic long term aftereffects

for those sensitive and already toxic.

Inhalation: Acute: Inhalation of a high concentration of mercury

vapor can cause almost immediate dyspnea, cough, fever, nausea and

vomiting, diarrhea, stomatitis, salivation, metallic taste,

gingivitis, and cardiac abnormalities. Respiratory irritation may

occur with chest pain and tightness. Symptoms may re solve or may

progress to necrotizing bronchiolitis, pneumonitis, pulmonary edema,

pneumothorax, interstitial fibrosis, and death. Acidosis and renal

damage may also occur. Allergic reactions that may occur in

previously exposed persons include dermatitis, encephalitis, and

death. Metal fume fever, an influenza-like illness, may occur due to

the inhalation of freshly formed metal oxide particles sized below

1.5 microns and usually between 0.02-0.05 microns. Symptoms may be

delayed 4-12 hours and begin with a sudden onset of thirst, and a

sweet, metallic or foul taste in the mouth. Other symptoms may

include upper respiratory tract irritation accompanied by coughing

and a dryness of the mucous membranes, lassitude and a generalized

feeling of malaise. Fever, chills, muscular pain, mild to severe

headache, nausea, occasional vomiting, exaggerated mental activity,

profuse sweating, excessive urination, diarrhea and prostration may

also occur. Tolerance to fumes develops rapidly, but is quickly lost.

All symptoms usually subside within 24-36 hours.

Sorry for the very long post, but it may help someone else too if

they're experiencing this and wonder " what happened " . I think this

confirms the need for me to chelate!
