First and foremost let me say how sorry I am for your loss.

And I want to thank you for the heads up , I was explaining to my husband what

was going to be on 20/20 and Dani ( 13yrold) piped up with oh yeah its called

Auto Asphyxiation ( sp)

I had never heard of it before , makes one wonder where she had heard of it .

No I didnt think to ask her . but you can bet a will in the morning

I hope they use his photo. I've been trying to get this in the news

for 6 years. In fact I've written 20/20 in the past and many other

places to do a story, finally they are listening as so many kids are

dying. AP ran a story about a 10 year old boy dying in Idaho last

week, suddenly all the news shows are interested. burg, Pa

station near me ran a segment last week. Please watch 20/20

tonight. ~~Dianna

Deb

Perhaps she heard about it at school. Sounds like it since she refereed to

it by a more technical name which hopefully means they are educating kids that

this is NOT a game.

The segment was well done and I was glad they put it on first because the

rest of the show was pretty bad.

As for the head rush thing can't they get that hanging upside down from the

monkey bars? or a good ride on the playground merry-go-round?

I was glad for the knowledge but I just don't understand why kids do these

things.

But I always hated being out of control of myself anyway and most of the

things kids consider fun like roller coasters, and thrill rides just scare the

poop out of me.

Scary that kids are actually willing to go through this just for a head rush.

This just scares me to death. And all the kids that hide this so well

from adults. And then something goes wrong and they die. I watch my

son real careful. They do not know that they can die so easily. And

the heartbreak of a loss of a young life. Ingrid

((((Dianna)))) , let me say that I for one believe that although yes this is

I know I for one wouldnt have known where to turn these last few weeks with

And for that I thank each and everyone of you.

I know I for one wouldnt have known where to turn these last few weeks with

Dani's surgery , without all of you.

And for that I thank each and everyone of you.
