Guest guest
Well everyone when you are busy going to chemo hospitals and wringing your doctors neck there is not much time for you to research. posted a ton of stuff in the files section of the site before he died. That is THE definitive place to look. He would find stuff for all of us you couldn't get in a normal web search. I just use AOL and post anything good I find that can help Narice

Guest guest
Could the .72 be the neutrophil count? Mine was low this week at .79 and I could not get chemo. Had to go home and be very careful of infection. Jane

Guest guest
I do think she should see what the oncologist says as far as what is happening and the new game plan. She can't have chemo until she is out of the hospital and feeling better anyway. At that point she can make a more informed choice for HER. Definitely not whatever she is on now. For those who don't know Lung Cancer chemo makes Colon Cancer chemo look like next to nothing it is really nasty stuff under the best of circumstances. Hang on there girl. As for Anti Depressants I think that may be a good idea but what you are feeling is quite normal. Wish I could be there to share an ice cappuccino, a good cry and lots of hugs. God bless Narice
Guest guest
Narice, did I say thank you ??????? Honestly meant to and sorry if I didnt yet , Mom is still not doing well , still having severe diarrhea, with blood in stools, no cdiff ( umm i have no idea certain kind of stool test to test for bacteria, no bacteria found) She said tonight she is done with chemo , no more . Of course dad said well we will see what the doc says , hold on who is going through chemo??????????? I told mom and for dads benefit, that ultimately the decision is HERS to make, no one elses not the docs , not mine , not dads. However I did ask her to wait til she felt better to make that decision , feel this is a pretty good choice because her next chemo , if she choices it wont be for 3 weeks. She was crying saying how sorry she was , and I told her she didnt have to apologize to ANYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I also told her that no matter her decision we would always love her , be there for her , and be behind whatever decision she makes 120%. I also told dad when mom was sleeping , if she keeps going with this chemo , she will be dead within 6months its THAT bad. Mom has diarrhea so bad by the time she gets out of bed its to late. She has had several accidents at the hospital today alone. The oncologist is coming up tomorrow to speak with mom , I pray that he wont arrive til after I get there, I have to get the kids off to school then I will go up there and wait all dam day if I have to . I want ANSWERS , like WHY is she having such severe diarrhea? why is there blood in it ? what is causing the blood? WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY?????????? I am at the point where I am going to try to get ahold of my doc tomorrow and see if she cant prescribe me an anti depressant , its bad deb flipper759@... wrote: Well everyone when you are busy going to chemo hospitals and wringing your doctors neck there is not much time for you to research. posted a ton of stuff in the files section of the site before he died.
