Hi Jackie and others, Are you aware of any good and safe protocols to follow for using GSE, Taheebo and also for Oregano, to kill candida with limited die-off? I work with a colonic hydrotherapist and nutritional therapist that use Wild Oregano after establishing levels of candida via a stool test. They say that they do not experience die-off from when Oregano is used, but lots of it when using GSE or Taheebo (Pau D'Arco). One of my clients can't tolerate Oregano (nausea) and would like to try the other two and I'm looking for some tried and tested protocols for GSE and Taheebo. Anybody know some please? Is there any danger in going too slowly and allowing the candida to build a tolerance? By the way you can put 'oils\ in the capsule and they will last for ages without digesting the water soluble capsule. I put Vit E oil and Oregano oil in capsules and store them in the fridge and there is no problem. It is only when you put water soluble items in them that the capsule is digested. On another note does anyone know of a good stool testing lab the Canadians can use without Doctors? Or should they send it to the USA? Also how can someone in Canada do a saliva test without a doctor, or is there a doctor in Mississuaga/Toronto that can test adrenals and thyroid and knows how to treat them? Many thanks, Dean

Hi Jackie and others, Are you aware of any good and safe protocols to follow for using GSE, Taheebo and also for Oregano, to kill candida with limited die-off? ----------I don't feel like a real expert on this, but one thing TK had told me you can do, is to rotate like 4 natural antifungals like every 4 days, so they don't get used to just one and keep getting hit with something new. And I think the key is not taking too much stuff all at once, to limit die-off.----------Jackie I work with a colonic hydrotherapist and nutritional therapist that use Wild Oregano after establishing levels of candida via a stool test. They say that they do not experience die-off from when Oregano is used, but lots of it when using GSE or Taheebo (Pau D'Arco). -----------Personally, I tolerate oil of oregano much better than GSE also. I have used Pau D'Arco very little, only drink the tea on rare occasions, so not much experience with that. When I used to read on A-M alot, many there would promote using GSE for yeast. So I bought some in capsule form, 125mg, and that was too strong for me. My skin got itchy all over and my bottom was sore and stools seemed acidy and hurt. Now this was after a couple heavy rounds of antibiotics, so I believe that I had a pretty bad case of yeast, and may have been trying to do too many things at once, but that experience kind of scared me off of GSE. Here's the story behind my recent attempt. I had surgery about a month ago, so more antibiotics again, and yeast is back, vaginally and probably gut too. I had been taking oil of oregano daily since the surgery, for at least 3 weeks straight, because told me to do this, using it as a natural antibiotic post-surgery. I finally got sick of taking it, I just felt like I had enough of it, and I got the yeast infection even while taking it, so maybe the yeast does get resistant to the same thing? Poor diet over the holidays didn't help matters either. Anyway, I just felt like I needed to try something else, or rotate in some other things, so I decided to get the liquid GSE, so I could control the dosage easier and give it a try again. I have only taken it once, a couple days ago, and besides the taste, I tolerated 5 drops ok, no bad die-off. But once again, I may be doing too many things, because I have also been eating coconut oil every day, and has me trying something new called Candaclear 4, which seems to be causing some symptoms. It has garlic in it, and may be too sulfury. I usually do ok with sulfur foods, but this may be too much.------Jackie One of my clients can't tolerate Oregano (nausea) and would like to try the other two and I'm looking for some tried and tested protocols for GSE and Taheebo. Anybody know some please? ----------You could search the A-M files and archives, and Dana's website over there. I think we're all different and may tolerate different things, so you may just have to try different things. And I think the idea of rotating antifungals every 4 days is a good idea, and approved of that also. She told me to take oil of oregano 3X/day as an antibiotic, so I'm sure you could do that for yeast too. My GSE bottle says 5-15 drops 2-3X/day. With both of these I would start low, and probably only once a day, and build up, based on tolerance/symptoms. I haven't used Taheebo. The caprylic acid in coconut oil is the antifungal agent, and you can get it in capsule form, in products such as Caprylex by Labs. I tolerate those just fine. And if you tolerate sulfur foods, then garlic can also be used as an antifungal.--------Jackie Is there any danger in going too slowly and allowing the candida to build a tolerance? ------------I know going too fast can cause way too many die-off symptoms and make you quite miserable. I think the idea of rotating antifungals every 4 days makes alot of sense, when you talk about the candida building a tolerance.---------Jackie By the way you can put 'oils\ in the capsule and they will last for ages without digesting the water soluble capsule.
