Guest guest
Hi I have been chelating now for a month on dmsa, but I have recently been told by doctor that I have really low levels of copper in my blood, as dmsa takes out copper would it be a good idea to try a trial round of just ALA without dmsa??? note: I have done 3 rounds of dmsa and am now at 25mg dmsa. I have never tried ALA. many thanks Jim
Guest guest
I don't know if Cutler gives much stock to blood copper levels. What did your hair test say for copper? He says that is an accurate indicator. This message might help: http://onibasu.com/archives/fdc/13903.html Also try doing a search for " low copper " : http://onibasu.com/cgi-bin/search.cgi?query=%22low+copper%22&submit=Search%21&ma\ x=20&sort=score&idxname=fdc&idxname=amc If you add the search term +from:andrewhallcutler, it will filter the results to just the ones from Andy: http://onibasu.com/cgi-bin/search.cgi?query=%22low+copper%22+%2Bfrom%3Aandrewhal\ lcutler&submit=Search%21&max=20&sort=score&idxname=am&idxname=fdc&idxname=amc Jay > > Hi I have been chelating now for a month on dmsa, but I have recently > been told by doctor that I have really low levels of copper in my > blood, as dmsa takes out copper would it be a good idea to try a trial > round of just ALA without dmsa??? > note: I have done 3 rounds of dmsa and am now at 25mg dmsa. Guest guest
thanks for your replies, in answer to your question I had a blood test which showed my copper levels (red blood cell copper levels test) to be well below the reference range. I know that dmsa does grab copper too so I am keen not to let my blood levels drop too low, this is why I was considering a trail round of just Alpha lipoic acid. many thanks Jim p.s thanks for the info about the onibasu website and the search tips I didnt know that it was possible to narrow down search terms like that, it is very useful to know!!! thanks > > > > Hi I have been chelating now for a month on dmsa, but I have recently > > been told by doctor that I have really low levels of copper in my > > blood, as dmsa takes out copper would it be a good idea to try a trial > > round of just ALA without dmsa??? > > note: I have done 3 rounds of dmsa and am now at 25mg dmsa.
