Love & Prayers, PeggyFlorida, IPF 2004'To get something you had, you have to do something you never did'When God takes something from your grasp, He's not pushing you, but merely opening your hands to receive something better. Hi everyone,I haven't read all the messages yet but I'll say thanks to everyone for the prayers and well wishes. I am currently a patient on the pulmonary unit at Duke. They've done about a million tests and so far we don't know too much. The good news is, my fever is gone. I haven't had tylenol in about 12 hours and my temp is 98.9 so that's good. My chest x-ray was very questionable for pneumonia. As you all know it can be difficult to interpret a chest x-ray for someone who has an underlying lung issue. So they are treating me with Avelox for possible pneumonia and they just started Tamiflu in case it turns out to be flu. Those screenings take a while to come back. The bottom line is I feel somewhat better, just really exhausted and achey and no appetite at all. They've told me I will likely go home tomorrow if things keep progressing the way they are. I have my laptop now and there is wireless in the hospital so I will keep you all posted. Thanks to everyone for the support. Guest guest
Beth It's great to hear from you and great news. I think again it points out that there are times we're best off to just get to the hospital and get treatment. They're taking no chances it seems as you'd hope. Two days later you'll be well on the way to recovery as opposed to where you might have been staying home. Glad your fever is gone. We can take all the precautions we want but can't avoid everything. Just think of the great time you had getting whatever it is you have and smile. Consider this a two day health vacation. Except you'll need rest from it when you get home. Go work on your farm, but not too hard. > > Hi everyone, > I haven't read all the messages yet but I'll say thanks to everyone for the prayers and well wishes.
