Guest guest
I just got my latest labs back and if I'm not mistaken I'm dangerously in or about to enter hypo after looking at the FT4 test. Since he gave me the numbers over the phone I had to ask him the ranges and I'm sure the ranges he gave me for the FT4 are off. All my lab results are from Quest and the last time I took the FT4 the range was 1.53-3.85 which would put my FT4 of .80 hypo. I even called him back up to see if he gave me the wrong numbers but he says not. Here they are: T3 T4 FT4 TSI TSH 12/11 80 6.0 * 0.80 153 < ..01 11/19 183 11.2 " 10/10 270 14.9 151 " 09/18 14.6 5.53 " Ranges (60-181) (4.5-12) (1.53-3.85) " *(0.8-1.8) **started 30 mgs of Tapazole on Oct. 29th. I am very alarmed about being in the lower end of normal. My eyes have been the worse they've ever been and that concerns me after seeing these latest numbers. My endo lowered me from 30 to 20mgs a day and I go back on Jan. 3 for more labs. My questions: Does anyone think I should be lower than 20 based on the above numbers? Can I afford to hang out on 20mgs for another few weeks? But what about the consequences of lowering too much too soon? Are there exceptions? I really need help here. Thank you very much.
