It was said that a boss could only telephone you at home if you had agreed to work out of office hours though, so it probably wouldn't affect the call to check if you REALLY are ill ;-) (I was feeling bad though, as when I was pregnant and had been left alone in the office, I felt really ill one day and so phoned a colleague who had already phoned in sick IYSWIM(!) I'd been told to phone him if I needed to as he wasn't feeling too bad, but he was furious, and stormed back to the office so I could go home, in very bad grace. It turned out to be his DDs birthday and he had promised to spend it with her, but hadn't dared to ask for a day off. I still feel that I infringed on his Human Rights that day but I didn't mean too - and I still feel bad about it 7 years on... Ruth (With the guilty concience (sp?))
