Guest guest
Well folks believe it or not it seems that I may have H1N1 (swine) flu. My flu screening came back positive for Type A. So now we wait for confirmation from the CDC regarding yes or no for H1N1. Since we're out of the season for regular Type A the pulmonary Fellow and the attending on the unit seem fairly convinced that it will be positive. We'll see. Regardless I'm still feeling better than yesterday and I've already had two doses of Tamiflu and two days of Avelox so I'm cautiosly optimistic that things will continue to more along in a good direction. And I can hear you all wanting to ask me if I used a mask this weekend. I did and in addition went through a 16 oz container of Purell in three days. I suppose it's just one of those things. Something I didn't want but here it is. Hope everyone is feeling ok. Beth Moderator Fibrotic NSIP 06/06 Dermatomyositis 11/

Guest guest
MB Rule 1-Take every reasonable precaution. Rule 2-When rule 1 fails you get help. You pass both rules. None of us can completely protect ourselves. Even better example if it is swine flu of something that undetected can be very dangerous and for which there is a treatment. Whatever, I'm just glad you're improving and getting filled with meds. Who knows sometimes where we get these things. You may have sat in the large groups and not gotten it there, but gotten it from a desk clerk at the hotel. As to feeling ok, I am now that I know you're under good care. I wasn't feeling good at all when I heard yesterday morning from the Cajun Farmgirl. > > Well folks believe it or not it seems that I may have H1N1 (swine) flu.
