Guest guest
I was going through my supplements - checking expiration dates and deciding what to toss. I came across a product which was recommended by the *&^$#* who gave me chlorella and cilantro, so I automatically thought it should be thrown out. But then I looked at the ingredients, and I'm not so sure. This is called Greening Power by Energetix and it contains: Begin label----------------------- Proprietary Blend of Whole Foods (7835 mg/tbsp): Alfalfa, Stabilized Rice Bran with Tocotrienols, Carrot, Lecithin, Barley Grass, Tomato, Apple, Beet, Acerola, Bee Pollen, Pineapple, Brussels Sprouts, Broccoli, Artichoke, Watercress, Zucchini, Kale, Cauliflower, Sweet Potato, Spinach, Parsley, Dulse and Bee Propolis. Proprietary Blend of Herbs & Extracts (810 mg/tbsp): Siberian Ginseng, Astragalus, Schizandra, Rehmannia, Bilberry, Fennel, Turmeric, Sage, Rosemary, Thyme, Ginkgo Biloba, Gotu Kola, Panax Ginseng, Milk Thistle, Aloe, American Ginseng and Dandelion Leaf. Proprietary Blend of Enzymes (55 mg/tbsp): Protease, Amylase, Lipase, Cellulase, Phytase and Maltase. Does Not Contain: Algae, Dairy or Dairy Derivatives, Stabilizers, Oils, Fats, Corn, Gluten, Maltodextrin, Starch, Salt, Alcohol, Coloring, Egg, Yeast, MSG, Added Flavoring or Preservatives, or Irradiated Ingredients. ---------------------------------End Label Well, that all seems like good stuff to me. In fact, it seems like a lot of adrenal-supporting stuff - which I desperately need. It does have sulphur foods in it but I think I'm one of those people who needs sulphur. At least, every time I try to do a sulphur elimination and challenge I get very, very, very sick and by the 4th day of elimination I give up and start taking the sulphur foods again, and get better within hours. I also don't have any apparent adverse reaction to any sulphur foods, so I just think I must need sulphur. So. What do you think of this product? Should I try it? It expires in March, so I need to decide soon. Thanks for any help,

My concern would be that there are so many ingredients, that if you did react, you wouldn't know from what. But, besides from the sulfury things, nothing jumped out at me as being bad, although I'm not familiar with all of that stuff. As long as you have done a sulfur food elimination diet and found that you do much better with them (and some people do), I think it would be ok to try this stuff. But like with anything, start with a small amount, and see how you do. And with everything all bunched together and not showing mg for each ingredient, it's hard to say if there's enough of this or that to help with adrenals, etc., but it may. Let us know if you try it.-----------Jackie Thanks for any help,
