Oh good for you , it's always worth getting these things

checked out to put your mind at rest.

Whilst on the subject has anyone heard of/ seen a problem like mine;

for the past few years I have noticed increasingly various

discoloured patches on my legs, they look like bruises, but some are

shiny as if they were healing burns. When I got undressed to go

swimming my girls commented on them, saying " what's that on your legs

Mum? " so they are obviously quite noticeable, but I just don't show

my legs much. I am *presuming* it's not skin cancer as I have had

them for years but am I wrong? Does anyone know what it could be? I

think when I get home I will get them checked out.

Thanks Ruthie well I'm glad I went but I did feel like a bit of a time waster,

however the Dr informed me that I'd had a sist he could still feel it, just.

Basically he expects by the time I have my next period it will have gone.

However if it has not he will draw off some fluid from it and have it analysed

within 48 hours that's not bad is it. :-)

Got back from the Dr's walked in the door to the site of DH and DS1 shouting at

each other and D3 screaming the place down because he was having a major major

nosebleed, which DH couldn't stop because he was too busy shouting at DS1 who

had accidentally knocked him over (resulting in him caching his nose of the

sideboard, I learnt all this afterwards).

Poor Jonty was stood in the kitchen in a growing pool of blood. I walked past

him opened up the kitchen cupboard took out a clean flannel, rinsed it in ice

cold water from the jug in the fridge pinned him down on the floor and applied

it to his nose, he screamed the place down even more because it was so cold. But

it stopped within a couple of minutes. DH then told me he was about to call for

an ambulance because he didn't know how to stop the bleeding!!!!

I reminded him perhaps if he had stepped back from the situation and stopped

shouting at DS1 he might of remembered his first aid course. He looked very

sheepish and went into the kitchen and put the kettle on. Then came back out and

cleaned up the mess off the floor and then went up into DS1's bedroom and

apologised most profusely to him for loosing his temper.

He then asked how I'd got on at the Dr's.

Certainly think you should have your legs looked at Ruthie, don't think it

sounds like skin cancer but something else but the name of it escapes me at the

moment. I'll post it later when I remember it. :-)
