Hello everyone...

I recently diagnosed myself with Mercury Intoxication. I just had

been diagnosed with so many other things by many different doctors

getting treated to no avail. I felt like my symptoms matched so well

to what I read about in the AI book, that's what it had to be...

--------I also self-diagnosed myself, and reading that part of AI was an OMG

moment for me too.----------Jackie

I just got my amalgams removed about 2 weeks ago, and my symptoms are

very much worse than ever before.

---------This does happen to some people, and probably another verification of

toxicity.--------Jackie

I have been taking the recommended

supplements(lots) and honestly I can't really tell if it's making me

feel better or not, especially with these exacerbated symptoms. I

don't want to stop taking them... just in case they are helping.

-----------Yes, keep taking them, especially plenty of vit C. Not feeling

much effects from them might be a sign of an absorption problem, which would

probably show up in a hair test, and can be helped by taking extra stomach acid

with meals.----Jackie

I have not had any formal diagnostic tests for mercury, and was

thinking maybe I should get one just to confirm? Do you think it's

necessary?

-----------The only diagnostic test I would recommend would be a hair test

from DDI. You have already removed your amalgams, so it's not like you would be

testing to help you decide whether or not to do this. And I would be scared for

you doing a challenge test, especially since you reacted so badly just to

removal. And since your amalgams are gone, a trial of chelation should confirm

toxicity.-----Jackie

Will taking the hair test while on supplements mess up the results?

Even I'm still having all symptoms?

--------It can make your test look more normal. How long have you been

supplementing? I was taking some supplements, and my hair test still met 2

counting rules, so it just depends. But I think I was having absorption

problems, so supplements probably didn't affect it much in my case. And you get

lots of other information from a hair test, so I think it is still worthwhile to

do.-------Jackie

Thanks for your help,
