Introduction from Jules

Hello, I'm Jules. I'm new to email and I don't

have regular access to a computer at present so am

doing all this from a friend's computer. This is my

third attempt to put a message on!

I have four sons and my husband is Hugh. His job is

itinerant so we move around quite a lot and it's not

always easy to get computer access. Things may have

to change when Ernie reaches schooling age although we

are looking into home education as some of my brothers

and sisters children have had bad experiences at

schools. Life is very busy and can be quite lonely

(but great)

for me which I'm sure is the situation for many mums.

I had one hospital birth, that was quite enough,

thanks, and three 'home' births with a doula and

midwives. Our lifestyle is traditional, I use cotton

washable nappies most of the time. The two youngest

ones are still in them. The second one uses them at

night although he's mostly dry but it's such a

business changing a wet bed that I'm not in a hurry to

leave it off.

I have been member of NCT since Ernie's ante natal

class. I'd be interested to hear anybody's

experiences of home education.
