Guest guest
First of all, if you are already scheduled for an appointment tomorrow, don't make any changes until afterwards. You should have labs first, too. Back spasms could be caused by many things, and being freezing can be caused among other things, by the flu coming on. I often get something like muscle spasms when I'm getting sick, so I wonder if that's the case for you. For the back spasms, you should try a few things: first, try an Advil or the like. It might ease the pain a bit. Second, if you have an acupuncturist, that is the quickest way to deal with back pain like that. It works for me, every time. If they are really bad, I get acupuncture first, then see my chiropractor when the spasms have eased a bit, to get things in order. Massage can also help. So can hot baths with some bath salts (Whole Foods has a bulk bath salt, it's green and wonderfully soothing). Hot baths also help if you're feeling freezing, so doubly good. Bottom line is, it's a mistake to assume, after 5 weeks of taking tap and no lab report, that you would suddenly be hypo. But amazing good luck that you have a doctor's appt. tomorrow. Did your doctor order labs in advance of the appointment, so you will have more information when you see him?
