Hi Elaine:

I received the Potassium Iodide in the dropper form by smail, finally. Then

I went to my ND for my labs. I asked him while I was there, how long it

took for someone to be without Potassium Iodide abruptly, to get hyper

symptoms. He told me between 5 to 7 days. Well, I started my symptoms on

day 6. I told him that I had just received the PI in dropper form by mail

today and he said good. I guess his office still hasn't received any. Then

I told him about getting the tablet form of the PI at the health food store

which didn't work for me. He said it probably wasn't strong enough for me.

I just hope by the way I am feeling mildly hyper now, the PI drops will work

for me quickly. I will never be without this now that I know where I can

order this online get a new bottle before the old bottle runs out. :-)

Hi ,

wasn't consistent after the first few although he cleaned up his diet

pretty good and I'm sure that helped. Married to a dietitian, he traveled for

his job and would have lived on fast food if he thought he could get away

with it.

He started out using the iodine faithfully and then figured out how quickly

it helped reduce symptoms so at the end he was using the drops on an " as

needed " basis. This is similar to people on ATDs weaning themselves off meds

or using lemon balm when they notice an increase in symptoms. So it could be

that his intuition was a good guide and he simply realized when he was in

remission.

Given your return of hyper symptoms without the iodine, I don't think you're

that far along yet. But you'll get there. Take care, Elaine

Hi Elaine:

Although I have your book somewhere (I cleaned up for the holidays, ha!) it

is not within easy reach. How long was the guy, , on SSKI before he

went into remission? He was probably more consistent with it than I was.

:-)

Re: Re: Elaine - Potassium Iodide update

Hi ,

Likely the tablets just aren't strong enough. SSKI is extremely potent. I'm

so glad your drops came in. I heard from , the guy in the anecdotal

chapter of my book who was using SSKI, and he's been in remission now for

nearly 3 years with no signs of relapse. Take care, Elaine
