If the infections is particularly bad you should probably get a

white blood cell count done, but sounds like this is something

you've had a few times.

I'm curious how cheese affects you, I know a German lady who

claims she can't eat cheese since her thyroidectomy for Graves'.

I guess it is an allergy thing, which I usually associate with

hypothyroid, but she is far too busy a persons to be hypothyroid

(indeed if anything she is still hyper judging by her

behaviour).

-Thanks everyone. I did take the phenazopyridine. I was in too much

pain not too. I will not take the macrobid because it seems to have

too many drug interactions. I will call my endo in the morning.

Cranberry juice has never helped me when I have gotten a bladder

infection. I have had them off and on for years. I eat yogurt alot

before any time I am taking antibiotics but this time with the Graves

I did not. I am trying to stay off dairy as much as possible.

I am lactose intolterant. Youghurt is not the same as either cheese or

dairy milk as

the acidopholous neutralizes the lactose. It is quite safe to eat and

always highly recommended.

Sandy,

had a good suggestion, getting those cranberry capsules. The juice never

worked for me and it's because the sugar content in juice actually aggravates a

UTI. If you can't find them in the grocery store, a health food store will be

sure to have them. You take a couple a day with water and I was amazed at how

quickly everything cleared up. Of course, if you've got a bad infection you

will need antibiotics. Also, I was prescribed phenazopyridine both during

pregnancy and while breastfeeding and everything was fine Good luck,

Kristi

is a good idea. To avoid the sugar in commercial stuff you can get

cranberry caps in any vitamin dept.--I got my last bottle at the Rite

Aid drug store.
