Weekend away - help required

DH and I have decided that as my sister has kindly offered to look after

sprogs next weekend and suddenly DH is not working over the weekend we

want to go away somewhere.

What we want is a hotel (4 star - ish) possibly country house type

thing - but not too far from a nice town for shopping, restaurants etc.

and not too far from home (can't go until Saturday morning as I'm out

with friends on Friday evening, and we have to be back Monday morning).

Home is Holybourne, near Alton in Hampshire (North East)

Any ideas?
