Guest guest
Hi Donnelle , No Joe doesnt have diabetes, he was actually completely healthy before cancer, dam cancer anyhow, he has peripheral ( sp) neuropathy in hands/feet/ankles/knee Hands just cant feel nothing in , which is hard in itself but his feet HURT HURT HURT ! My dad has congestive heart failure too , but is managing it ( he is on limited fluid intake daily) Never would have imagined it for mom , they have her on lasix at the hospital now ,and were talking about a catheter , but think they are gonna take a wait and see approach on that, dear mom called tonight to let me know there was fresh hamburg in the fridge that needs to be wrapped and frozen lol, thats mom always worrying about things. She is already counting the days of when she can come home , I told her she better not do that because if they have to keep her longer she is going to be VERY upset. As for me ??????? how am i doing ??????????????????????????// omg I think I am losing my mind to tell you the truth ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!! ya know?? Dani is doing better , she still gets headaches and I believe she has restless leg syndrome ( have to discuss it with doc) , and everything that was numb before surgery is still numb which PEEVES her off to no end . The top part of her head is growing in and is at the spikey stage , considering the rest of it is LONG it looks funny so she has to wear hair off to the side, which we love it looks very nice but she hates it lol. She goes for recheck on the 22nd of Aug. On the 4th of Aug ,.Bennie our lil guy just had tubes put in both ears and his adenoids/tonsils removed ALONG with his first tooth!! It was loose and they didnt want to tube him and have it break off so they pulled it , he came out of O.R with a speciman jar with his tooth in it and baggie taped to it with 2 bucks in it. ( the tooth fairy slipped in another 5 bucks since it was his first tooth He also received a stuffed grizzly bear from the doc for having the biggest tonsils of the week , (they were almost touching one another ) Joe is scheduled to go to a neurologist on the 17th he is still suffering from neuropathy BAD, He cant fish , cause he cant tie the line, or feel the line, makes him furious. He was picking cherry tomatoes tonight and he cant even feel those. Hoping the docs can fix him cause he is hurting something fierce and nothing is touching it. Please know that I am keeping Glenn and you in our prayers and will be saying prayers for him daily Hope all goes well for his surgery Hang in there Deb Oh, Damn, Deb...when you said about the breathing, I was fearful of CHF. That was Mom's first symptom and then a terrible cough with no symptoms of a cold or anything. Poor Dani...I bet her hair looks darling, but you know how young girls are...And poor Bennie...but I bet he was happy with the tooth money!! I know Joe must get frustrated...Glenn actually gets angry and sometimes throws whatever is bugging him...not really throws, just kinda drops it!!! Cursing!!! He has a terrible time opening soda bottles and jars, even trouble holding silverware and manipulating it properly. It must be very frustrating, plus makes them feel so useless...and, once again, out of control. Hopefully, Joe will get some ideas on how to handle this or treat it or something. I forgot, does he have diabetes, also. Glenn does and he was having no feeling in feet before this all started. In a way, I guess that's better than having the annoying and uncomfortable tingling, huh? AND HOW ARE YOU???? Lots of hugs and prayers, Donelle Caregiver to Glenn
