Oh Carmel, I don't know what to say except I wish you the best and hope it

all works out for you!

And... Why didn't the docs run a pg test before you had surgery????

Hang in there, you should be able to get an ultrasound soon and hopefully

that will rest your mind a little...

I guess this is an unwanted pregnancy?

I cannot believe this -- I just did a home pregnancy test and it came

out positive. I just had a total thyroidectomy on November 25. If

this is true I was about two weeks pregnant when I had the surgery.

I am freaking out. Is there any way that the high dose of calcium or

vitamin D is affecting the pregnancy results. I know I can't do

anything until tomorrow, but if anyone has any thoughts or knowledge

on the effects of surgery during pregnancy I would really appreciate

it. I can't believe this. . . I am very scared.

Hello everyone and thank you for your replies, Yes, I think I was

just pregnant and it would definitely be wanted.

>But i can.t figure out exactly how far you are. What was first day

>of your last period and I could tell you more? Also how long

>usually between cycles? I.

The first day of my last period was November 3. My cycle is 32 days.

Without giving out too much information, I think that conception

occured on Nov 15 or 16. I was expecting my period on December 3 or

4. It's funny because we tried to get pregnant before I decided to go

ahead with the surgery and nothing happened.

I am going to see my doctor today at 4:00 pm. I am caught between

feeling scared, a little embarrased and ecstatic!

Thank you all for your replies,

Gisella
