Guest guest
Karina (sorry for butting in here) but if you are not keen on the idea of hormones and would like to leave it a little before you go for next baby could I recommend that you read Taking Charge of your fertility by Toni Whesler.. I have used this method since I started trying to conceive Phoebe (back then obviously to get pg not to not be ) then through Eloisa and through to this one ;o) I have not at any point had any " false alarm's " and I fell pg within 1 and 2 months of trying with Eloisa and this one.. After a while it is just second nature to do and it is really very easy (works basically on checking your temperatures and your cervical fluids) Lonnie Phoebe & Eloisa's mama & expecting a Christmas delivery... My therapist told me the way to achieve true inner peace is to finish what you start. So far today, I have finished 2 bags of chips and a Chocolate cake. I feel better already. Minipill... was Re: My sister in-law and her ever increasing family! Would you mind saying what decision you made about the mini-pill in the end (off list if you prefer...)? I have three packets lying here and I can't get myself to use them (not so keen on hormones anymore, I used the normal pill for 15 years and I'm nearly 35 now)... but I do have two tiny kids and I really don't want another one just yet! I decided to use it. It is much weaker than the regular pill and doesn't contain oestrogen. It's not *supposed to* change your milk supply, if you're breastfeeding, but it took us about a week of growth-spurt-like feeding to get back to normal when I started taking it. In a way, it's a pain, because I have to take it every night at the same time for it to be effective and we don't have - um - relations - all that often (some woman once said that taking the pill every night is like a man having to put on a condom every night, even if he's not going to have sex). But this way I am ready when the opportunity arises, instead of having to say I can't because my mucous is thin. I also didn't fancy checking my secretions every day. > d I recommend that you read Taking Charge of your fertility by Toni Whesler.. I have heard that this one is good. My SIL sent me 'The Billings Method' which is solely based on mucous. It looks like it *should* work most of the time (though the author's findings on the effectiveness have been disputed), but see above for my opinion on secretions. Funny this should come up right now, since I have 3 packets left and then I'm probably going to stop taking them Phyllis
